More on what’s coming from Ford
Our newsletter in May 2014 speculated what we thought Ford was planning to line up for this part of the world once Ford stops manufacturing in Australia in 2016. Ford are starting to get more specific and are now announcing the release of a freshened up Territory that will be on sale here in New Zealand early 2015.
Some other models Ford are saying will be in showrooms with new releases are the last of the Falcon, a line up of Focus models including a ST version, the famous Mustang, the Mondeo and the Everest SUV, so by 2017 we will have witnessed a completely updated Ford vehicle lineup.
The Melbourne-based Ford design team has given the new territory some exterior changes and a bold new grill. A headlight set that gives it the Ford look and in harmony with the rest of the Ford range of vehicles.
It sounds like Ford is pleased with the new look Territory as they are saying it is the benchmark for family-friendly SUVs. Ford is also saying that their customers love the level of comfort, space and fuel efficiency and now the refreshed design will provide another compelling reason to ignore other SUV’s and buy a Ford.

The Territory is sold either with a six-cylinder petrol engine or a V6 Diesel TDCi engine. The pricing, features and specifications of the last Falcon and new Territory range will be revealed closer to launch next year and they will both go on sale as mentioned before in the first quarter of 2015. The Mustang, Mondeo and Everest SUV shouldn’t be far behind in 2015.
