We will see the ITM 500 return to the Pukekohe Park Racetrack starting on Friday 6 November and concluding on Sunday 8 November with heaps of action for all the family.
Auckland is getting ready to celebrate the return of the V8 Supercars with a number of free events available to the motor racing public.
On the week leading up to the event there will be a free Drive-in Movie at the Auckland ASB Showground’s, with the gates opening at 7.00 pm on Saturday 31 October and the feature movie starting at 8.30 pm.
There will be live entertainment until the movie starts, food and drink stalls, and chances to win great prizes but you will need to register online in advance and display your ticket in your car window to gain entry.
You will have been able to vote online for your movie of choice from around mid October.
On Thursday 5 November there will be a motor racing Fan-Day at Auckland’s Aotea Square. A convoy of American classic muscle cars will warm up their engines on Queens Wharf at 10.00 am then parade up Queen Street with drivers like Scott McLaughlin, Fabian Coulthard and Andre Heimgartner who are driving for New Zealand’s Super Black Racing.
Included in the parade will be the Australian drivers like Garth Tander, Mark Winterbottom, Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup all coming up to the square to mix and talk to motor racing fans for autographs and photos.
You will be able to test your skills on the newly released Forza Motorsport 6 Xbox game, check out high performance remote controlled cars, get up close to the 28 muscle cars and get into the vibe of the Auckland ITM 500 2015.
The action starts at 10.00 am and goes until about 3.00 pm with the V8 supercar drivers on-site from midday until just after 1.00 pm. All the V8 Supercars race teams look forward to the Auckland event and the driver’s love racing at Pukekohe, the New Zealand motor racing public always turns on a great occasion with plenty of noise and drama.
