No surprise that the Ford Ranger topped the list again for 2018, making it New Zealand’s number one selling new model vehicle for the last 3 years. The Ranger factor continues in 2019 with the Colorado hot on its heels for 2019.
Utes continue to dominate the vehicle purchases in New Zealand with 5 different makes in the top 10 spots and that trend is similar throughout the world.
Ford, Toyota, Holden, Mitsubishi and Nissan are really taking this part of the market by storm despite the government recent noise about clobbering Utes with a purchase tax.
The other spots see just 2 cars and the rest with 3 SUV’s/Crossovers. While the practical SUV/Crossover vehicles play an important versatile role in our outdoor lifestyle, we also place huge importance on comfort, luxury, safety and reliability.
