It has been recognised for the fifth year in a row by the 2025 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle awards committee.

To be recognised as the North American truck of the year, vehicles must be new or substantially changed from the previous year. The independent and unbiased jury of 50 automotive journalists who produce content for a variety of print, broadcast and digital media in America and Canada choose a winner based on innovation, design, safety, performance, technology, user experience, driver satisfaction and value.
This vehicle is the most connected and capable Ranger ever according to the panel. The Ranger was rigorously tested in the Australian outback and over many American highways. The Ranger proved its readiness for almost any adventure. In fact, the Ford Ranger was Australia’s best-selling vehicle again in 2024 and the best-selling vehicle for the 10th year in a row in New Zealand.
